Regular Commission Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:00 PM. Work Sessions are held at 6 p.m. on their scheduled dates (unless otherwise noted). Any changes to the meeting dates will be updated on the city calendar. All meeting agendas are posted below by noon on the Friday before a meeting. Meeting agendas are physically posted on the message board outside of City Hall and printed copies are available at reception. Persons are advised in accordance with Florida statutes that, if they decide to appeal any decision made at these meetings/hearings, they will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings are made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. Any persons needing such a record can arrange for a court reporter to attend the public hearing. Any person with a disability requiring reasonable accommodation to participate in these meetings/hearings should contact the City Clerk’s office by phone (727) 584-2151.
Government minutes are the written record of all actions taken in a meeting and will note any decisions made or conclusions stated during the meeting. Minutes are simply notes taken during the meeting to remind you what was discussed and agreed. They need to record clearly and simply what decisions were made at the meeting and who is going to carry them out.
Each agenda provides time when citizens can come to the podium and address the city commission about any non-agenda item. Citizens cannot engage in debate with the city commission. Each citizen has three (3) minutes in which to address the Commission.
