The Charter Review and Ordinance Review Committees are combined to create the Charter and Ordinance Review Committee or CORC. The CORC is appointed every five (5) years per Sections C7.02 and C7.03 of the City Charter.
The Charter and Ordinance Review Committee is responsible for reviewing the City Charter and Code of Ordinances to ensure they remain up to date, relevant, and effective for the residents of Belleair Bluffs. Every five years, this committee—comprised of city electors—analyzes existing regulations, identifies potential updates, and submits recommendations to the City Commission. Their work helps maintain clear, fair, and functional local governance, ensuring that city laws align with the needs of the community.
